Together We Can Conquer COVID-19.

On Wednesday May 6th ACCE engaged with over 3,000 people from across the Province of Nova Scotia in our discussion series “Black Wellness: Not Too Distant To Talk”. We are continuing the good vibes and conversation this Wednesday May 13th. If you are feeling energetic and want to get your body moving, join ACCE in a 10 minute virtual work out beginning at 5:30 pm. If you’ve already got your daily dose of physical activity and you are looking for an exciting discussion tune in at 6:00 pm.

ACCE will be joined by two youth special guests Monecko Clayton and Aaliyah Arab-Smith to discuss their experiences with Covid-19 and the importance physical activity during these difficult times.

Monecko Clayton is a former varsity football player with Saint Mary’s Huskies, he is pursuing a bachelors degree in Social Justice & Community Studies, and now focusing on track and field. Aaliyah Arab-Smith is a Halifax homegrown basketball star, Aaliyah is entering into her first year with the Dalhousie Tigers basketball program and pursuing a bachelors of science degree in medical sciences.

This initiative is supported by the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services, the Health Association of African Nova Scotians (HAAC), African Nova Scotian Affairs (ANSA) and the Association of Black Social Workers (ABSW).
