A Must See – Gemini Award Winner Jackie Richardson and R & B Hall of Fame (Detroit) inductee Dutch Robinson take the stage in the World Premier of THE GREEN BOOK,  October 5th to 8th at Alderney Landing Theatre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Inspired by the 1936-66 brochure THE NEGRO MOTORISTS GREEN BOOK which ensured safe travel for coloured motorists during the Jim Crow era, THE GREEN BOOK celebrates the powerful role businesses played in defying oppression and racism.  It was the collection of business who were willing to publish their names in this guide, that changed the face of travel for coloured people in the U.S, Canada,Mexico, Bermuda and Alaska.

Synopsis:  There is a reason this is “the road not taken.”  Coloureds who live here know the Jim Crow rules.  Driving from Nova Scotia to L.A was meant to be an adventure.  Carl Jarvis learns that this journey is not for the weak, and no man should attempt it without THE GREEN BOOK.
