(We can be somewhat flexible) Join our team and make amazing things happen!   Programming Assistant: September - December Job Description: ​Help develop in-person and online programs to ensure a great (and safe) experience. The programming assistant will work on program development, delivery and evaluation, ensuring our stakeholders are engaged and fulfilled by our work in a variety of artistic disciplines. The successful candidate will help us deliver excellent and engaging interactive programs to the community (both in person and online), to professional artists, and learn to curate and catalogue work. Our ideal candidate studies in the arts, loves to work with people and may be looking for a different challenge for the fall, and a potential career in arts programming or administration. A fabulous resume-booster!   Arts Administration Intern: September - December Job Description: The Ross Creek Centre for the Arts is looking for a student who may not be attending in the fall. This person will work closely with administrative and programming staff to ensure our bookkeeping and regulatory payments, payroll and other financial transactions are all accurately kept in a timely manner. Working under our bookkeeper, the Administrator will ensure contracts are followed and payments are collected and made in accordance with best practices, and assist in financial year end, bank recs, HST reporting, work with our treasurer and senior staff and create reports. The person will also work to solidify systems internally, help with special projects and take on volunteer coordination, and ensure a safe and welcoming space for appropriate programs and events.   Public Relations Assistant: September - December Job Description: We are coming into our 30th anniversary season in 2021, and have have a series of in-person and online programs which need extra support. We are also revising our marketing, fund development and sponsorship plans and need extra support to come out of COVID stronger than ever! The PR Assistant will work with our teams to ensure we are engaging and exciting our community in and about our work through excellent and engaging marketing,  fund development, and storytelling,  and learn amazing skills with industry leading software. Our ideal candidate is someone who is studying PR, Arts Admin, or Marketing, or is in the arts and interested in all elements of PR for the arts.   FOR ALL FALL POSITIONS:
  • Dates: September-December 2020 - 20-35 hours a week, depending on post-secondary status
  • DEADLINE: September 10, 2020 at midnight
  • Salary: $13.00 per hour plus vacation pay
  • Location: Canning, NS
  • Note: Must have own transportation, Ross Creek Centre is not on a public bus route
