Sales and Hospitality Assistant: Full-Time and Part-Time positions Benjamin Bridge 1966 White Rock Road, Gaspereau Valley; NS   Company:  Benjamin Bridge is an award-winning Annapolis Valley winery staking its claim to “The best producer of sparkling wines in Canada”. Benjamin Bridge crafts sparkling wine from grapes grown in the Gaspereau Valley and in grape grower vineyards throughout the Annapolis Valley. Job Description:  This position will work with various members of the team to assist in day-to-day operations, including but not limited to hosting wine tastings; administrative tasks; retail sales; and miscellaneous office tasks. In addition, there is an opportunity to get first-hand experience in the production aspect of winemaking and work closely with our viticulturist to have a more in-depth understanding of our winery practices. Duties and Responsibilities: Host tastings, serve guests wine by-the-glass on our terrace, complete hourly checklists, assist in larger events, maintain sales and inventory, assist in day-to-day office tasks (i.e. answering phones, emails, data entry, filing, etc.) and includes the execution of direct-to-consumer orders and deliveries. This position will also be responsible for participating in meetings with the Hospitality Manager, perform other relevant duties as assigned, assist fellow team members with day-to-day activities as requested, and assist in production/viticulture tasks as needed.  Additional Details:

  • Start date for training: March 2021
  • Work is seasonal in nature (April to October)
  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  •  1 – 2 positions available
  • 40 hours per week full-time
  • 10 - 15 hours per week part-time
  • $15 per hour
  • Onsite training and wine education provided, but previous experience in the wine or food industry considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset
  • Dress code is casual. Apron and name tag provided.
  • Work is seasonal
  • Weekend availability is required
  • A driver's license is not be required for work purposes but transportation to and from the winery is required
  • Background check required
  • Must be able to lift approximately 40 lbs (18 kgs)
