- Full time (40 hrs week) 8am – 5:00pm; Monday to Friday with some evening shifts will require overtime during busy periods. Also, in the fall there is a rotation of late evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- $23 to $28 / hour depending on experience / certification

Duties: (including but not necessarily limited to) Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and servicing all systems and components of transport trucks and trailers to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Servicing, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of truck-trailer systems. Using manual, power and computerized tools to carry out repairs according to manufacturer’s specifications. Reading and understanding work orders, task procedures, and interpreting technical manuals. Writing work orders and diagnosing the cause of failures. Performing all other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager in a safe, efficient, professional manner. Skills: Professional knowledge of all working components of a transport truck and trailer system Trouble-shooting, diagnostic and problem solving skills Attentive to details Ability to foresee and prioritize upcoming repairs Physical strength Manual dexterity Ability to be adaptable and address issues at hand Ability to work in noisy environments Manual dexterity; hand-eye coordination. Ability to lift and manoeuver 100 – 200 pounds with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat for extended periods. Basic computer knowledge to record time and do scheduling and repair orders Personable and a clear communicator when dealing with co-workers and occasionally customers |
