 Truss & Prefabricated Wall Assembler   J.A.G. Trusses & Prefabricated Walls Ltd Woodville, NS Office: 902-679-3449 Greg & Dorothy Spinney (gdspinney@ns.sympatico.ca)   Details: $13.00 to $16.00 per hour starting wage Full time (40 hours per week) 8:00 to 4:30pm (Production Facility hours) Driver’s license (or ability to reliably to get to work; no public transportation in this location)    Requirements for Truss & Wall Assembler: Have basic knowledge, experience, skills in construction and carpentry fields considered an asset. Be able to use (or willing to learn how) chop saw, drill press, jig, nail gun, hammer, screwdriver, measuring tape and other standard construction tools. Be able to follow instructions and diagrams to accurately and quickly assemble trusses. Be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds Be capable of standing / walking for long periods of time. Employee provides own Personal Protective equipment (steel-toed boots, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, ear protection).   Job Duties:  Includes but is not necessarily limited to:   Truss Assemblers are responsible for accurate assembly of residential and commercial Roof and Floor trusses and exterior wall sections. Employees follow both verbal and written instructions to complete projects. Tasks include assembling precut wooden parts to build trusses and exterior wall sections. Precut parts are connected and secured with metal reinforcement plates using hammer, screwdriver, nail or staple gun or other tools as needed. Assisting with loading and unloading, sorting and storing materials and supplies may be required. Following established safety rules and maintaining a safe, clean work environment is a daily expectation. Job-specific training and orientation is provided by the employer.
